The annual get together for Crest’s Taranaki personnel was a time to kick back and enjoy some festive eats – but it was also an occasion to celebrate another successful year.
In his address to franchisees, Regional Manager Prasun Acharya paid tribute to the dedication and hard work of his teams. He also had a special mention for Sunil and Rajveer Asi.
He told how he’d been asked to pass on a “big thank you” from Waitara Central Kindergarten, where the husband and wife team look after the cleaning.
“I was speaking to the head teacher and one of the ladies from reception stopped me and she wanted me to pass on her thanks to our team.
“Our team found a $50 note and put it in the office for safekeeping. She really appreciated that.
“It may seem small but $50 to a child care centre is a big thing. What occurred speaks volumes for the integrity and honesty of our teams. I’m proud of them.”
This year’s party was again held at VolcaNoview Restaurant. The venue is popular with its stunning backdrop of Mount Taranaki.
“It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time and enjoyed the food and a beautiful view of the mountain,” said Prasun.
“We also had a special cake to celebrate Crest’s 20th birthday. The children were kept busy on the swings and in pedal carts and there was also a flying fox ride.”
The occasion was so successful that a family picnic is now on the cards for the Taranaki teams.
“We are all looking forward to that. It’s a great opportunity to get away from the work and engage on a personal level. We want all our franchisees to feel part of the team and the Christmas party was a great occasion.”
Prasun said 2016 had been a great year for Crest in Taranaki.
“People now know our name and Crest’s reputation is growing.”
“We want to grow our footprint in the region, not just in New Plymouth but in small towns nearby. We will also be focusing on increasing the number of teams we have.
“Crest’s Move to the Regions Programme is creating quite a buzz. It helps bring new people from big cities to smaller towns like New Plymouth. It’s going to be an exciting year.”
The programme offers financial incentives to help families settle and take up a franchise in areas of New Zealand where there is a big need for commercial cleaning services.
