For Raj and his wife Hardeep, celebrating ten years as CrestClean franchise owners is a milestone that marks a decade of hard work, patience, and resilience.
Raj’s journey with CrestClean began with a nudge from family. Inspired by a relative who has successfully run a CrestClean franchise in Auckland for over 20 years, Raj saw the potential and decided to take the leap himself.
“They motivated me to buy my own business, and I’ve never looked back,” says Raj.
Being his own boss has brought more than just financial rewards. It’s given Raj a sense of independence and peace of mind in his day-to-day life. He’s also been able to involve his daughter in the business. After successfully completing CrestClean’s vetting process, she now works part-time while studying at university.
“Having our own business means we’re more relaxed and we have more flexibility,” he says.
Over the years, Raj’s business has been a steady source of income that’s enabled him to achieve significant milestones. Last September, he purchased his first home – a spacious four-bedroom house in Flatbush. Raj is also proud to be able to provide financial support to his family back in Fiji – a goal close to his heart.
“It feels really good to achieve your goals and know that your hard work and patience has paid off,” he says.
Looking ahead, Raj plans to purchase an investment property and take his family on a world trip within the next two years. With many longstanding customers and strong relationships, he is well on his way to achieving these goals. He’s grateful for the support from Auckland Central Regional Master Franchisee, Dries Mangnus, who helps him overcome obstacles when they arise.
“I know I can email or text him, and he’ll always be there to help out,” says Raj.
Having powered through challenging times during covid, Raj’s resilience and determination will serve him well in the years to come.
“We’re still in the game, and we’ll stay in the game for the coming years.”
