CrestClean has reached a great milestone of achieving 400 franchised businesses. In fact as of today’s date the figure stands at 410. That’s 410 franchises…. not 410 franchisees… because most Crest businesses have more than one partner and many employ staff. Our overall headcount is more than 1300 people across New Zealand.

“It’s a great way to mark our 17th birthday”, comments CrestClean’s Chairman of Directors Marty Perkinson. “This milestone is built on the increased demand for the company’s services from both public and private sector organisations” said Marty, adding that “growth projections for CrestClean give us further confidence that we will hit 500 franchised businesses in the next 18 months.”

CrestClean started as a small Dunedin based company, and now 17 years later we cover New Zealand and have a great reputation as market leaders in our industry. The achievement of 400 franchises is a significant vote of confidence in CrestClean’s business system.

CrestClean’s success over these past 17 years comes down to the partnerships we have established; not only with our clients, but also due to the training and qualifications that CrestClean provides, and our commitment to high standards of Health and Safety.

Domestically CrestClean’s strategic vision is to be the most successful and recognised cleaning company in New Zealand. We want to foster our 100% New Zealand owned status to become the preferred cleaning services provider to New Zealand’s corporate and government sector. The company aims to double in size within the next 5 years while still maintaining the quality service delivery focus.

Continued innovation will be maintained enabling CrestClean to continue its market leader position. Our emphasis on Training, Health and Safety, Environmental and Security protocols are unique in what could be considered a forgotten industry; forgotten because it is largely “under the radar” and as a generalisation it lacks any sort of leadership or development from within the industry.

“Our brand is already well recognised in the market”, comments Marty. “Our new Health and Safety programme, which is soon to be released, will place us head and shoulders above competitors in Health and Safety compliances. There is so much focus on Health and Safety coming this year that we should see good gains in business coming as new customers seek more qualified services contractors”

Internationally, CrestClean will continue to promote its business system to Asian countries. The Indian business continues to grow well, and it is a great pilot operation for other potential country or large city master franchises to consider. We expect some more international territories to open during the next year.

“I’d like to commend all Crest’s franchisee teams on the great job they are doing operating their own successful businesses”, comments Marty. “You are in a good space, as a company we are in good space, watch us get even stronger together!”
