Being made redundant from his full time job was just the incentive he needed to expand his already successful CrestClean business.
After leaving Kiwi Bus Builders, Shailesh Chandra took the opportunity to invest further in the cleaning franchise he runs with his wife Ravina Prasad.
Now overseeing a business with a six figure turnover, life has never been better says Shailesh. “Life is really good and I’m very happy to work hard and have the opportunity to earn more money.
“It’s a great feeling. In six months we may look at expanding the business again.”
Three years ago the couple managed to get on the property ladder by buying a home of their own in Tauranga. “Having a CrestClean business helped us with the mortgage payments.” says Ravina.
CrestClean’s Tauranga Regional Manager Jan Lichtwark commended the couple for their hard work and commitment. “They are very hardworking franchisees and their customers love their work,” he says.
“It makes me really proud and pleased to see people achieve their goal and be able to buy their own home and expand their business.”
