As New Zealand’s aged care sector continues to evolve, CrestClean is strengthening its support for retirement villages and aged care providers with specialised healthcare-accredited cleaning services.
CEO Grant McLauchlan was joined by Liezl Foxcroft and Kyle Cooke, CrestClean’s new GM of Sales & Growth, at the Retirement Villages Association (RVA) Conference this week. Over three days, the team connected with retirement village owners, operators, developers and managers from across the country, gaining valuable insight into the sector’s priorities and future needs.
The conference provided an opportunity to hear directly from people involved in all aspects of retirement village living. Discussions highlighted key issues facing the sector, including funding pressures and the challenge of providing the best possible care for New Zealand’s ageing population.
Liezl says attendees were passionate about these issues, and it was valuable to hear their perspectives. For Kyle, it was particularly interesting to learn more about the operational challenges of managing in-house cleaning teams. There was strong interest in how outsourced cleaning models can help address staffing pressures.
“The sector faces the ongoing challenge of managing in-house cleaning teams, creating consistency issues and adding pressure on operational management,” he says.
“These conversations highlighted the value of partnering with a provider that offers more than cleaning services alone and can contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.”
