At Ravensdown Dunedin, CrestClean’s Steve, Sam and Lynne Kannewischer are considered “part of the family”.
So, after a few observations were added into the Ravensdown safety system praising the family franchise team, they were surprised with a Prezzy Card, to thank them for all their hard work.
“We see Steve every day, he’s like staff,” says Personal Assistant Cushla Costelloe.
“Everyone knows him by his name, he’s part of the Ravensdown whānau. He’s friendly, smiley and does a good job. He’s a good sort!”
Office administrator Lyn Herbert says Steve goes “over and above” in his cleaning duties.
“It’s really important for him to have things done right. He just takes such pride in everything he does,” says Lyn.
“He’s a really lovely guy, everybody on site likes Steve. The whole family is fantastic, they do such a good job and nothing’s ever a problem.”
Lyn says Steve makes sure everything is always kept up to date, by letting her know when consumables need to be topped up, and additional cleaning services booked in.
“He informs me at the beginning of every month with what we’re out of so I can order it. And he comes and tells me when it’s time to do things like polishing the floors. He’s the instigator of a lot of that sort of stuff,” says Lyn.
“And when he cleans the floors, wow, they’re like a mirror by the time he’s finished. Everyone comments on them.”
Steve says he was humbled to receive the Prezzy Card.
“I didn’t expect anything. They’re brilliant, everyone’s friendly, like a big family,” says Steve.
“It’s a big site. We go in the morning and give it a touch-up so the folk coming in for lunch have a nice, clean cafeteria, and then we go in again in the evening.
“They appreciate what we do and the extra effort we put in. Our motto is, if you do a good job ,and you go over and above, you’re appreciated and you get personal satisfaction.”
CrestClean’s Dunedin Regional Manager Tony Kramers says the Kannewischer family are “an integral part of our CrestClean Dunedin family”.
“We have had the pleasure of working with Steve, Lyn and Sam for the past nine and a half years and, like their customers, we only have wonderful things to say about them all. They are an absolute pleasure to have.”
