CrestClean makes an impact at School Business Managers’ Conference

Regional Managers Jan Lichtwark, Viky Narayan and Kelsey Gibson attend the School Business Managers’ Association Conference in Rotorua.

CrestClean made its debut as a Bronze Sponsor at the 2025 School Business Managers’ Association Conference in Rotorua last week, marking a new step in our growing connection with the education sector.

Held over three days, the event brought together school business managers from across the country to connect and share ideas. With inspiring keynote speakers, practical workshops, and a wide range of exhibitors, the conference was a great opportunity to explore new ways of strengthening school operations.

Representing CrestClean at the event were Regional Managers Viky Narayan (South Auckland), Jan Lichtwark (Tauranga and Whakatane), and Kelsey Gibson (Rotorua and Taupo). The trio jumped at the chance to meet with school decision-makers, and to show support for the important work being done behind the scenes in schools every day.

“This marked CrestClean’s very first sponsorship at the conference,” says Viky.

The decision to sponsor the event was sparked by a personal recommendation from a trusted School Executive Officer and longtime customer of Viky’s. They encouraged Viky and the team to get involved with the School Business Managers network, recognising how vital these professionals are in keeping schools running smoothly and creating safe, well-maintained environments for students. Viky took the advice on board and led the way in getting CrestClean on board as a bronze sponsor.

“I took that nudge seriously, recognising that the school sector represents not just a market, but a mission aligned with CrestClean’s values of reliability, quality, and partnership,” he says.

From the start, CrestClean’s stand made an impact. With bright, bold graphics and a professional look, it brought great energy to the space and made it easy for attendees to stop by and ask questions.

To add to the fun, CrestClean ran a giveaway for a beautiful hamper, and the lucky winner was Jamie Morgan from Mercury Bay School.

Jamie Morgan from Mercury Bay School took home the generous prize hamper.

Throughout the event, the team also made time to sit in on some really engaging sessions covering everything from infrastructure and compliance to wellbeing. It was a great chance to learn, reflect, and better understand the challenges and priorities facing school communities, while thinking about how CrestClean can continue to support them in the best possible way.

Although it was CrestClean’s first time attending the event, Viky says the team felt warmly welcomed and are already looking forward to returning.

“CrestClean is no longer just a newcomer – we’re a welcomed partner.”
