An Invercargill company preparing for the opening of its impressive new headquarters called in CrestClean experts to tackle the landmark building’s vast glass frontage.
Southland Farm Machinery spokeswoman Hollie Cooper says cleaning the huge expanses of glass required a specialist knowledge and the right approach.
“There’s a lot of glass and it’s great to have the CrestClean team who have the tools and the ability to manage windows of this size.”
In readiness for the opening, the windows needed a thorough clean to remove dust and dirt, says Hollie, the company’s group marketing co-ordinator.
“A layer of grime had built up during the building phrase. They are sizeable widows to clean and it’s not sort of thing that anyone could just come along with a hose and a brush and do.”
CrestClean Invercargill-based Pure Water Cleaning expert Martin DeGuzman was tasked with cleaning down the glass frontage of the building in readiness for the company’s big move.
The Pure Water Window Cleaning system was ideal for the job, says Glenn Cockroft, CrestClean’s Invercargill Regional Manager. “It uses a high-tech water filtration, which removes all solids from water, allowing only pure water to clean windows – without spotting or streaking.
“The beauty is that no chemicals are used with Pure Water Window Cleaning, which makes it economical and environmentally responsible.”
The Southland Farm Machinery building on North Rd has been constructed on the same site where its previous headquarters was situated. That building was destroyed in a disastrous blaze three years ago.
The building serves as the company’s head office for its four branches. The new building had attracted a lot of positive comments for its design, says Hollie.
“It’s really good to have a statement building.” She says keeping it looking pristine was paramount. “When you go to the effort and time to produce such a beautiful building you want to be able to maintain that.”
CrestClean has been given the contract to clean the exterior and interior of the new building.
“It is good for us to have a reputable firm being able to come in and we know we can put it in their hands to keep the building looking spic and span,” she added.
