CrestClean’s community connections bloom at Rosebank Road Association

CrestClean Auckland West Business Manager Chris Wedding was the raffle winner at the recent Rosebank Business Association meeting.

Mother-son team Caro and Chris Wedding from CrestClean Auckland West have been proud members of the Rosebank Business Association (RBA) for over 12 years.

The RBA is a non-profit organisation that represents businesses in the Rosebank Business Precinct in Avondale. Since it was established in 2002, the association has worked to build a safer, cleaner, and smarter business community through advocacy, support, and collaborative events.

Caro and Chris say it’s a privilege to be longstanding members of the RBA.

“It’s a very good community to be part of,” says Chris.

“They’re all about helping us and our local business partners.”

RBA events are always hosted by a different business from Rosebank Road, giving everyone a chance to share what they do. The most recent one was hosted by Best Blooms, a local florist and fellow RBA member. Even though they’re one of the smaller businesses on the road, they put on a fantastic interactive event that really captured the community spirit of the RBA.

Attendees were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at how the flower shop runs and even got to create their own bouquets. Chris also won the raffle and walked away with a generous hamper. With more chocolate than he could handle, Chris brought the hamper into the office to share with the wider Auckland team.

Caro says being hosted by Best Blooms was right up Chris’s alley.

“My son has been buying flowers since he was 16, to the point where he’s invited out the back to hand-pick the flowers,” she says.

While Chris has always enjoyed flowers, he admits the many handcrafted bouquets from Best Blooms were mostly for his wife Rachel, who is also the Administration Manager in Auckland West.

Chris and Caro attend RBA events as often as they can, sometimes ending up in bidding wars at their charity auctions.

“It’s really good fun. I’ve really enjoyed all the meetings that I’ve been to. It’s something different and unique every time,” says Chris.

With many customers also part of the association, Chris says the RBA events are a great way to stay connected.

“It’s a tight-knit community. We’re all working together.”

Caro believes that being part of the RBA gives customers additional confidence in CrestClean’s local presence. After more than a decade, Caro and Chris are more enthusiastic than ever about their involvement with the association.

“We’re very proud to be part of the Rosebank Road Association. The connection is very strong,” she says.

“They’re the face and ears of the community.”
