Connections were forged and CrestClean’s reputation in the healthcare sector strengthened at this year’s Rotorua General Practice Conference and Medical Exhibition (GPCME).
It is the second time CrestClean has attended the annual event and once again it was an extremely positive experience.
Held at the Rotorua Energy Events Centre, it was attended by more than 1100 GPs, practice nurses, and practice managers, many of whom were interested to find out more about CrestClean’s services.
Regional Master Franchisees Sonia Fredrick and Jan Lichtwark were kept busy at CrestClean’s distinctive blue and green booth answering a range of questions, from what chemicals are used to how franchisees are trained.
Giveaways of branded CrestClean tissues and pens were popular, as was the prize draw for a UE Boom speaker, which was won by Katie Scorringe, who is a GP at Te Waipuna Medical Centre in Whanganui.
“Jan and I had a great time at the conference. It was highly productive and a lot of fun,” says Sonia.
“The draw for the prize was a great asset to get people over to enter, and the giveaways meant that they left carrying our branded product around the conference. It was quite cold, so the tissues were perfect as there were so a few sniffly noses and nobody else had any!
“Overall, I believe it was very successful and I would definitely be keen for the next one!”
Jan agreed that it was a very worthwhile conference to attend, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities.
“It’s one of the most enjoyable conferences I get to go to. It’s a great atmosphere. People are there because they want to learn and meet new people. You get good engagement from people,” he says.
“Because we’re not as well known as many of the other exhibitors, people ask a lot of questions and you can have some good conversations with them. No one else in New Zealand is specialising in healthcare cleaning like we are, so there’s a lot of interest in what we’re doing.”
CrestClean is a provider of cleaning services for numerous medical practices and clinics across New Zealand. Last year, the company has taken a significant step forward by introducing a specialised Healthcare Training Module, aimed at equipping their franchise teams with the necessary skills for cleaning healthcare facilities.
Although CrestClean franchisees have always undergone training to handle the unique challenges posed by these high-risk sites, the implementation of the new formal qualification, through the company’s Master Cleaners Training Institute (MCTI), brings an additional level of reassurance to healthcare providers.
The cleaning teams adhere to meticulous, step-by-step safe work procedures, and quality assurance co-ordinators conduct regular on-site assessments to ensure that stringent quality standards are consistently upheld.
