CrestClean is redefining industry excellence through its commitment to professional training, empowering franchisees with advanced skills that surpass traditional cleaning qualifications.

A standout example is its comprehensive Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme, specifically developed to bridge the gap between standard NZQA cleaning certifications and the rigorous clinical IPC training provided to healthcare professionals like doctors and nurses. The programme features three in-depth modules that combine interactive online learning with competency assessments and regular on-site audits, ensuring franchise owners and their teams consistently deliver the highest standards of healthcare cleaning.
Expert-led training in advanced healthcare cleaning

Delivered by Master Cleaners Training Institute (MCTI) with expert guidance from IPC nurse Francie Morgan, the programme ensures that all trainers meet the highest level of advanced healthcare cleaning. Francie led online training for Mohammed and seven other franchise owners.
Mohammed is the first trainer formally signed off as competent to deliver IPC training.
“It was a great achievement,” he says.

Even with his extensive experience in cleaning medical environments, Mohammed gained valuable new insights through the course, mastering advanced techniques essential for healthcare settings. The training covered everything from fundamental practices such as proper hand hygiene to complex procedures like cleaning operating theatres, identifying high-risk areas, and adhering to strict IPC protocols.
Since completing the programme, Mohammed has gone on to train three other franchisees, extending these valuable skills throughout CrestClean’s franchise network.
Expanding expertise in Water Damage Restoration

Mohammed recently added another impressive qualification to his name, completing the Institute of Inspection Cleaning, Restoration, and Certification (IICRC) in Water Damage Restoration. This means he’s now equipped to train others in how to safely manage everything from floodwater to grey and black water incidents, and how to properly clean and restore affected areas.
The course was hands-on and in-depth, covering everything from site assessments and quoting for restoration work to understanding insurance processes. It involved a mix of lectures, exams, and practical training, giving Mohammed the tools to handle complex situations with confidence.
CrestClean’s General Manager of Training, Safety and Wellbeing Liezl Foxcroft is proud to see Mohammed building new skills that strengthen his career.
“This is an amazing achievement and one that will stand CrestClean in good stead when it comes to the industry standard in cleaning up these types of incidents for our customers,” she says.
Extending knowledge across the franchise network
Mohammed passed the course with flying colours and is now teaming up with Liezl to create a new flood restoration course that will sit alongside CrestClean’s carpet care training.
Already a well-respected trainer in Module 1 and Floor Care, his growing expertise in Infection Prevention and Control and Water Damage. He’s grateful for the chance to keep learning and is passionate about using his skills to support others and raise the bar across the board.
“I want to thank CrestClean – and especially Liezl – who has seen the capability in me and approached me to do these courses.”
By investing in its people and empowering franchisees like Mohammed to grow and lead, CrestClean is not only raising industry standards but also ensuring safer, healthier environments for our customers.
