With life moving at a hundred miles an hour, it’s easy to forget the simple things like checking in with customers to see how they’re doing. But for Timaru franchisee Marie Marave, taking that little bit of extra time recently proved worth it.
Marie decided to touch base with her customers to make sure they were happy with the service she’s been providing.
Turns out a quick check-in goes a long way. They were so pleased that they posed for a photo with Marie to celebrate their great working relationship.
Marie has been running her franchise for just over two years and says she’s loving the lifestyle that comes with it.
“I love having freedom while earning money at the same time,” she says.
“I feel more relaxed working on my own time. There’s no need to rush every morning to get to work on time.”
Marie happily describes herself as someone who loves cleanliness and order, so owning a cleaning business is the perfect match for her personality. With her experience cleaning a large mall, South Canterbury Regional Manager Rob Glenie knew Marie’s potential and encouraged her to make the leap into franchise ownership.
“It had been a long time since Rob told me about CrestClean but he finally convinced me,” she says.
While working at the McCain Foods factory, Marie asked for a little more time to think things over, but Rob wasn’t giving up that easily.
“He said it’s already been three months!” she laughs. “So, the next day I said yes.”
Now, two years on, Marie is glad she made the switch.
“I’m happy with CrestClean,” she says.
And judging by the smiles of her customers, it’s clear that they are happy too!
