Buying a CrestClean franchise has redefined family time for busy mum Gretna Tauma.
Now that Gretna can choose the hours she works there’s a lot more free time to spend with her husband Tion Tiaon and their five children.
Before the couple joined CrestClean, Gretna worked nightshift as a cleaner at a local food manufacturing company in New Plymouth. Her working hours meant she would not finish until 4am.
She says her 7-year-old son loves the fact that he now gets a lot more time with her. “I have a little boy and he was always asking when I am coming back from work. Now I get to see a lot more of him.”
The couple are originally from the Kiribati islands and came to New Zealand in 2017.
Joining CrestClean was straightforward, says Gretna. “CrestClean was helpful in helping us secure a business loan.
“It’s the first time we’ve had a business and it’s been easy to get into. I’m looking forward to seeing the good results and being able to invest for the family and our kids’ future.”
Teenage daughter Ariari has recently come on board and helps her parents look after their CrestClean customers. “We get on really well and it’s good to be working together,” says Gretna.
Naresh Mani, CrestClean’s Taranaki Regional Manager, says the new team sailed through their initial training. “I had a really good report from our Regional Trainer. They have a great attitude and are quick learners.”
