The ability to learn new skills in order to provide a range of services to customers is just one part of growing a successful CrestClean business.
Some new franchisees get the opportunity to jump right into the more skilled services by attending the required training courses early in their careers with CrestClean, which recently occurred for several new Hutt Valley teams.
They attended a Hard Floor Care Training Course, held on the 27th and 28th of September at Arakura School in Wainuiomata. “We had a great two day course with lots of information provided and new skills learnt on buffing and polishing techniques,” says Hutt Valley Regional Director Clare Menzies.
Hutt Valley franchisee and Regional Trainer Dan Sharma led the course, which was attended by Darshana and Mihir Desai, Sanjeen Prasad, Neil Prasad, Harpreet and Amandeep Bhangu and Bishnu Sharma – all franchisees new to CrestClean.
“In this case, they needed to do it because of the sites they have to clean, which are mostly schools, kindergartens and a few commercial buildings,” says Clare. “So it’s just a matter of allowing the teams to attend the course and gain the expertise to deliver this service to the standards of Crest.”
The two-day course is run by Master Cleaners Training Institute, which is accredited by the British Institute of Cleaning Science, as well as an NZQA accredited Industry Training Organisation. The course includes practical training in buffing, scrubbing, burnishing, stain removal, stripping and polishing, as well as ways to identify different floor surfaces and treat them correctly. How to operate and care for buffing machines and the different pads and products available is also a significant part of the training, and franchisees who successfully demonstrate a full understanding of all the procedures receive Certificates of Completion.
“Hard Floor Care is very involved and requires a lot of attention to detail,” Clare says. “But, because of the thoroughness of this training course, we’re confidently able to offer the best service we can by skilled operators.”
Congratulations on successfully completing your training, Hutt Valley Teams!
