Dunedin couple Aaditya and Diksha Shrivastava couldn’t be happier with their decision to buy a cleaning business.
“We wanted to invest in a sustainable business and after some research we found CrestClean,” says Aaditya. “We like the flexibility of the job and it’s given us more security.”
It’s just six months since joining CrestClean Aaditya and Diksha have doubled the size of their business. “We actually love the work and it’s just like any other business where you are providing a service,” says Diksha, who has a background in banking and finance.
“We are getting a very balanced work/life. It’s going really well and we have had very good feedback from our customers.”
For Aaditya, who used to a despatch manager at Mitre 10, becoming his own boss is the fulfilment of an ambition to become financially independent.

“I thought why give my time and energy to someone else’s business if I have the capability to have my own business. I wanted to do something for myself and finally I did.”
Diksha says it’s been a great move for the family. “He was on a very good package with his last job and giving that up to a buy a cleaning business was a very big decision for us. But we are very happy with our decision and how it’s all turned out. It’s made us feel very secure.”
CrestClean’s Dunedin Regional Manager Tony Kramers says Aaditya and Diksha have excelled in the way they approach running their business and have excellent people skills. “They are a lovely couple and are extremely personable and hard working.”
He says a CrestClean franchise is ideal for young couples like Aaditya and Diksha, who have a young family.
“Having the ability to own a large business and employ staff gives them plenty of time to spend with their little boy. They are doing well and are able to give back to the community by employing people to work in their business.”
