CrestClean’s Cleanest Classroom programme finished the 2025 school year on a feel-good note in South Canterbury, with students across the region doing a fantastic job of keeping their classrooms tidy throughout Term 4. It was a great way to round off the school year, with plenty of smiles and treats for deserving students.
At St Joseph’s School Ashburton, the winning classroom was Kiwi Tahi with franchisees Michael and Rosa Rigor visiting the school to share in the celebrations and present their award.
Tinwald School’s Room 7 also took out the Cleanest Classroom title. Local franchisee Joy Pombo popped in to present the award and congratulate the class, who were thrilled to be awarded for their efforts.

The Cleanest Classroom programme is all about encouraging students to take pride in their learning spaces, work together as a team and build great habits that last well beyond the classroom. Each term, the most consistently tidy classrooms are rewarded with a pizza lunch, giving students something fun to work towards.
And it’s a big help for franchisees! When students give their classrooms a quick tidy at the end of the day, it helps their busy daily cleans run much more smoothly.
Many of the more than 500 primary and intermediate schools cleaned by CrestClean take part in the Cleanest Classroom Awards, helping students develop great habits that last a lifetime.
