Partners in life and partners in business, Taranaki Regional Managers Naresh and Radhna Mani have always made a great team!
And now Radhna, who previously worked a lot behind the scenes, is taking more of a customer-facing role in their CrestClean business.
Going forward, Radhna will be conducting quality assurance audits, working closely with customers and franchisees to ensure the best possible service is delivered across the region.
“I love working with people, so I’m really going to enjoy getting out there and being more involved,” says Radhna.
“Having been a franchisee myself, I understand what customers expect and I am looking forward to using that knowledge to help franchisees meet those expectations.”
Naresh and Radhna bought a CrestClean franchise in Auckland in 2014, and worked on the tools for five years, before moving to New Plymouth in 2019 to become Master Franchisees.
Since then, they have grown the number of franchise teams in the region from 6 to 12, servicing 130 customers.
A former healthcare assistant at North Shore Hospital’s maternity unit, Radhna says initially she planned to help Naresh in the business part-time, but as the franchise grew, so did her role in the business.
‘We could see that our business was growing and that there was a lot of potential, so I decided to leave my job and join Naresh full time. Then we had the opportunity to move to Taranaki as Master Franchisees, and we’re very happy we did,” she says.
“When we first moved to Taranaki, I had more of a business development role. I was doing a lot of cold calling and bringing in leads — going out and meeting people, which is what I like to do. I will still be doing sales, but now I will be doing audits as well.”
Naresh says working together has proved to be a winning combination, with 90% business growth in the region over the past two and a half years.
“We have shared goals, and we work well together, to achieve good outcomes for both franchisees and customers,” says Naresh.
“And not forgetting our Head Office and Marketing support teams who have provided us with support and guidance during this time.”
