It was moment to celebrate for these three Tauranga business owners who’ve studied hard to gain an industry recognised qualification.
Andy Lee, Maninder Singh and Japinder Pandher are the latest CrestClean franchisees to gain a Level 2 Certificate in Commercial Cleaning.
The certificate, awarded by the Master Cleaners Training Institute, officially recognises that they are now equipped with the skills and know-how to provide a professional service to their customers.
Jan Lichtwark, CrestClean’s Tauranga Regional Manager, said he was delighted for the trio and praised their commitment to making the grade.
Unlike some other commercial cleaning companies, Crest has a big focus on training and is New Zealand’s biggest trainer of cleaning personnel in the country, says Jan.
“When we say we train our franchisees we just don’t say ‘here’s a rag and go out with Joe Bloggs for a day’, our people receive intensive and specialised training. They’ve been through two training modules and each has been assessed to ensure they meet the required standard.”
Training instills confidence for CrestClean business owners and their customers, Jan says. “Our customers value that peace of mind that the cleaning people they have on site know what they are doing and are trained to a very high standard.
“In the commercial cleaning industry there are some companies that claim to have professional cleaners but their staff have had little or no training at all.”
Each year CrestClean holds more than 200 training events for its personnel nationwide. The modules cover cleaning skills and processes, Health and Safety, and hygienic practices.
Personnel are upskilled annually and regular auditing is carried out by CrestClean’s Quality Assurance Co-ordinators.
