Tidiest Maraenui students rewarded with end-of-term treat

Hawke’s Bay franchise owners Bidur and Barska Karki surprise Akomanga 10 students at Maraenaui Bilingual School with pizza for being the cleanest classroom in term 2.

Students at Maraenui Bilingual School wrapped up Term 2 with a special celebration, thanks to Hawke’s Bay franchise owners Bidur and Barsha Karki and their employee Bikash. The cleaning team surprised Akomanga 10 students and their Kaiako, Judy Karaitiana, with pizza and juice as a reward for keeping their classroom clean and tidy throughout the term.

To thank Birdur, Barsha and Bikash, the students sung them a special waiata.

CrestClean’s Cleanest Classroom programme turns keeping classrooms tidy into a fun team challenge. Students are encouraged to take pride in their learning space all while helping make sure the classroom is ready for the cleaning team at the end of the day.

Each term, the classroom that goes the extra mile to keep their classrooms tidy is rewarded with a pizza lunch.

There’s nothing like a little healthy competition to build good habits that last!

Bidur and Barsha are valued members of the Maraenui Bilingual School community and have built a wonderful connection with students and staff. While their cleaning work takes place after students have gone home, the school regularly reminds students of the important role the cleaning team plays in keeping their learning environment clean.
