Lyndsey Reeves is a valued member of the Christchurch South Intermediate team.
The long-standing Crest franchisee has been cleaning the school for 11 years.
“I’ve developed a great relationship with the school and staff,” he says. “I am considered one of their team. I even take my turn with the morning tea roster.”
Principal Ross Hastings appreciates the additional checks Lyndsey makes and the care and pride he takes in his work.
“Lyndsey’s commitment to the school and the relationships he has built with staff over the years means he is accepted as a staff member. He is often prepared to go out of his way to assist staff with additional cleaning requests and supports staff in other ways,” he says.
Mr Hastings says Lyndsey is always invited to staff social occasions and contributes to the Friday morning tea roster.
“We have enjoyed celebrating birthdays and special occasions with Lyndsey,” he says. “He has responsibility for ensuring that buildings are locked and secure at the end of each day after the cleaning is completed and staff appreciate his friendly manner and the additional sense of security he provides if they are working late. He is a faithful and loyal member of our team.”
“I’ve gone above and beyond and it’s been appreciated. I really enjoy my job,” Lyndsey says.
Christchurch South Regional Manager Kiri James says Lyndsey is an integral part of the Christchurch South team.
“His 11 year achievement is fantastic,” she says. “Lyndsey has made this site a huge part of his life and he goes above and beyond to keep the staff happy. He has cleaned throughout the earthquakes and he always does a great job.”
