Meet our youngest Franchisee who is in the driving seat of his own business – and he’s living a life other youngsters can only dream of.
Nitij Maharaj has shown that age is no barrier when it comes to investing in his future with a CrestClean Franchise.
At just 20, the Dunedin franchisee loves his job and has seized the opportunity with both hands and he is determined to grow his business into a large operation.
CrestClean’s Otago Regional Director Nicky Kramers was thrilled for the popular franchisee and said Nitij has a brilliant attitude to his work and is on track to making his business a big success.
“This is a good investment for him and there will be very good returns. What is better than working for yourself? It brings the pride of knowing you’ve done it yourself.”
Nitij’s attention to detail and pride in his vehicle is reflected in the way he has customised his CrestClean Toyota Hiace van with extra fittings so that all his cleaning equipment fits in perfectly.
And his enthusiasm has not gone unnoticed as he has just won a CrestClean award for having the cleanest vehicle.
“Nitij’s vehicle was a standout vehicle within the fleet and with his immaculately presented vehicle right down to the well-fitted organised shelving he has had installed, overall we were very impressed,” said Nicky.
“He takes great pride in wanting to be the best in his business. It’s great as he’s so young and is a good example of what can be achieved by determination.”
Nitij has the backing of his mum and dad, Rozelyn and Lalesh Maharaj, who supported his application for a CrestClean Franchise and also lend a hand with cleaning duties.
Nitij’s win was rewarded by two corporate tickets to the recent Highlanders versus Chiefs game at Dunedin’s impressive Forsyth Bar Stadium.
